Chevron Products Company, a division of Chevron USA, Inc., is accepting online
applications for the position of Laboratory Chemist located in El Segundo,
California through August 19, 2011.

Overview: This position will provide chemistry information, analytical methods, testing
service, instrument troubleshooting and repair, and consulting to the refinery.

Position Details : Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:

· Performs specialized sample testing services for process stream monitoring and
optimization, product certification, environmental compliance, and special
projects.

· Conducts training, consulting, maintenance and troubleshooting on test methods
and instrumentation.

· Develops and implements testing methods, including selection and purchase of new
equipment/instrumentation, training, quality control/assurance, documentation,
maintenance & troubleshooting, and continuous improvement.

· Consults on the use of test methods and their application. Works with Technical,
Operations, and Maintenance divisions to: (1)select appropriate testing
methods/instrumentation and (2)design approaches to obtain desired information.

· Provides consulting on process chemistry to aid in plant optimization and
troubleshooting.

Required Qualifications:

· Bachelor of Science in Chemistry.

· Demonstrated strong mechanical skills and ability to use tools to maintain and
repair instrumentation.

· Demonstrated ability to communicate chemistry/technical information to audiences
of varying technical background.

· Demonstrated ability to consult on analytical instrumentation and test methods,
including method development and equipment/instrumentation purchase.

· Demonstrated commitment to and use of quality control/quality assurance
principles and tools.

· Demonstrated excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills.

· Demonstrated teamwork, communication, planning/organizing, leadership skills, and
strong commitment to safety.

Preferred Qualifications:

· Demonstrated laboratory work experience.

· Knowledge of refinery test methods (e.g. GC, AA, IC, XRF, elemental analysis, and
wet chemistry).

· Knowledge and understanding of refinery processes.

· Knowledge of process analyzers.

· Experience with chemometric modeling and analysis.

Relocation Options: Relocation may be considered within Chevron parameters.

International Considerations: Expatriate assignments will not be considered.

Signet is looking to hire an electrochemist for analytical sensor development. Here
are the basic details:

The major responsibilities of this position include:

* Design, build, and test new electrochemical sensors for use in liquid analytical
applications.

* Participate in new product development activities.

* Evaluate and test novel electrochemical sensors from outside suppliers.

* Participate in sustaining engineering efforts on current products

* Perform chemical verification testing on all new and old sensor products

* Perform patent research and documentation

The successful candidate will have the following:

* MS in Electrochemistry, Chemistry, Physics or related field with 5 years of
directly relevant experience or Ph.D. in Electrochemistry, Chemistry, Physics or
related field with 2 years of experience.

* Experience with electrochemical sensor design including amperometric, optical, pH
and/or conductivity.

* Demonstrated ability to develop innovative ideas and solutions to aqueous
electrochemical problems.

* Experience with design of experiments
